Some Good Reading

Jesus Christ has been powerfully active in his church for the last 2,000 years. Little wonder that his presence has brought some breath-taking revelations of God and his glorious Kingdom through the ages! Christ brings us back into a living relationship with God. And writings that are able to open up, in simple but profoundly personal ways, more about the nature and being of the God that we encounter in Christ are wonderful. Here are a few that have warmed our heart, and caused worship to flow, and transformed our understanding and living. The first five can be easily found through the internet. The rest are free to download.

  • ʻThe Life, Walk, and Triumph of Faithʼ by William Romaine
  • ʻThe Gospel Mystery of Sanctificationʼ by Walter Marshall
  • ʻWorship, Community, and the Triune God of Graceʼ by James Torrance
  • ʻOn Being a Theologian of the Crossʼ by Gerhard Forde
  • The Deep Things of God: How the Trinity Changes Everything by Fred Sanders
